Is a type of antibiotic known as a fluoroquinolone. it fights bacteria by stopping their growth.

Loteprednol Etabonate

Is a type of steroid. it helps reduce inflammation and swelling.

This medication is typically used to treat bacterial conjunctivitis (pink eye) in adults and children 1 year of age and older.

It is often prescribed for infections that are not responding to other treatments.

Gatifloxacin works by killing bacteria that cause infection. Loteprednol etabonate reduces inflammation and swelling, which helps to relieve symptoms like redness, pain, and discharge.

Store this medication at room temperature, away from light and moisture.

The usual dose is one drop in the affected eye(s) every 4 hours for the first 2 days.

After 2 days, the dose is reduced to one drop every 6 hours.

Follow your doctor's instructions carefully.

Wash your hands thoroughly before and after applying the medication.

Do not touch the tip of the dropper to your eye or any other surface.

Close the bottle tightly after each use.

The most common side effects are eye irritation, burning, stinging, and dryness.

Less common side effects may include blurred vision, headache, and eye pain.

In rare cases, more serious side effects can occur. Contact your doctor immediately if you experience any of the following:

Severe headache, confusion, seizures, or difficulty speaking.

Alcohol Consumption

It is generally safe to drink alcohol while using this medication, but talk to your doctor if you have any concerns.



While Driving or operating Machinery

This medication can cause blurred vision. Do not drive or operate machinery until you know how this medication affects you.



Pregnant & Breastfeeding Women

Children

This medication is not recommended for children under 1 year of age.
