Remogliflozin Etabonate

Remogliflozin etabonate is a medication that contains the active ingredient remogliflozin, a sodium-glucose cotransporter 2 (SGLT2) inhibitor.It is available in tablet form.

Remogliflozin etabonate is indicated for the treatment of type 2 diabetes mellitus in adults to improve glycemic control.

Zucator 100mg Tab (Remogliflozin Etabonate) works by blocking the SGLT2 protein in the kidneys, which prevents the reabsorption of glucose back into the bloodstream. This results in increased glucose excretion in the urine, lowering blood sugar levels.

Store remogliflozin etabonate tablets at room temperature, between 20°C and 25°C (68°F and 77°F). Protect from moisture and light.

The recommended starting dose of remogliflozin etabonate is 100 mg once daily.

Your doctor may adjust your dosage based on your individual needs and response to treatment.

Take remogliflozin etabonate with a meal, once daily.

Do not crush, break, or chew the tablets. Swallow them whole.

Common side effects include urinary tract infections, vaginal yeast infections, and increased urination.

More serious side effects can occur, such as dehydration, low blood sugar (hypoglycemia), and ketoacidosis (a serious complication of diabetes).

Alcohol Consumption

Alcohol consumption can increase the risk of hypoglycemia, especially in patients taking insulin or other medications that can lower blood sugar.



While Driving or operating Machinery

Remogliflozin etabonate may cause dizziness or lightheadedness. Avoid driving or operating machinery until you know how this medication affects you.



Pregnant & Breastfeeding Women

Remogliflozin etabonate is not recommended for use during pregnancy. It is also not known if the medication is safe for use during breastfeeding.



Children

Remogliflozin etabonate is not approved for use in children.



Kidney

Remogliflozin etabonate is eliminated primarily by the kidneys. It may need to be used with caution in patients with kidney disease.



Liver

Remogliflozin etabonate does not appear to be significantly affected by liver function. It can be used in patients with liver disease.
