Zovirax 400mg Susp 100ml (Acyclovir) is a nucleoside analogue antiviral drug. It works by inhibiting viral DNA replication. Once inside the herpes virus-infected cell, it's converted into acyclovir monophosphate, then diphosphate, and finally triphosphate. Acyclovir triphosphate competitively inhibits viral DNA polymerase, preventing the virus from replicating.
