Sulbactam

Is a beta-lactamase inhibitor that helps cefoperazone work better by preventing bacteria from breaking it down.

Treating severe infections caused by bacteria susceptible to cefoperazone/sulbactam.

This includes infections of the lungs, skin, abdomen, urinary tract, and blood.

It can also be used to prevent infections in patients undergoing surgery.

Cefoperazone/sulbactam works by interfering with the formation of the bacterial cell wall. This prevents bacteria from multiplying and causes them to die.
