Ziprasidone

Zipsydon 40mg Tab (Ziprasidone) is an atypical antipsychotic medication. It works by blocking the activity of dopamine and serotonin, neurotransmitters that play a role in regulating mood, behavior, and thought processes. By blocking these neurotransmitters, ziprasidone helps to reduce the symptoms of psychosis, such as hallucinations, delusions, and disorganized thinking.

Store Ziprasidone at room temperature, between 20°C and 25°C (68°F and 77°F). Protect from light and moisture.

The dosage of Ziprasidone will vary depending on the individual patient and their medical condition. Your doctor will determine the appropriate dosage for you.

Ziprasidone is typically taken by mouth, with or without food.

It is important to take Ziprasidone exactly as prescribed by your doctor.

Do not take more or less of it than directed, and do not stop taking it without talking to your doctor.

More serious side effects can occur, including movement disorders (extrapyramidal symptoms), metabolic changes (such as increased blood sugar, cholesterol, and triglycerides), and increased risk of stroke or blood clots in the legs or lungs.

Common side effects include drowsiness, dizziness, headache, constipation, dry mouth, and weight gain.

Alcohol Consumption

Alcohol can increase the risk of side effects from Ziprasidone. It is best to avoid alcohol while taking this medication.



While Driving or Operating Machinery

Ziprasidone can cause drowsiness and dizziness. Do not drive or operate machinery until you know how this medication affects you.



Pregnant & Breastfeeding Women

Ziprasidone is not recommended for use during pregnancy. If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, talk to your doctor about the risks and benefits of using this medication.



Children

Ziprasidone is not approved for use in children under 13 years of age.



Kidney
