Ciprofloxacin

Is a fluoroquinolone antibiotic.

Treatment of bacterial infections of the skin and skin structures (e.g., cellulitis, abscesses)

Treatment of bacterial infections of the urinary tract (e.g., cystitis, pyelonephritis)

Treatment of bacterial infections of the respiratory tract (e.g., pneumonia, bronchitis some formulations only)

Treatment of bacterial infections of the bones and joints (e.g., osteomyelitis)

Treatment of certain sexually transmitted infections (e.g., gonorrhea, some types of pelvic inflammatory disease)

Treatment of anthrax (inhalation or cutaneous) – usually in conjunction with other treatments.

Zipro Iv 200ml (Ciprofloxacin) works by inhibiting bacterial DNA gyrase and topoisomerase IV, enzymes essential for bacterial DNA replication and repair. This inhibition leads to bacterial cell death.

Store at room temperature, away from moisture and direct sunlight. Keep out of reach of children.

Dosage varies depending on the infection being treated, the patient's age, weight, and kidney function.

Complete the full course of antibiotics, even if symptoms resolve early, to prevent recurrence and antibiotic resistance.
