Mefenamic Acid

Is a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug (nsaid) that works by reducing hormones that cause pain and swelling.

Tranexamic Acid

Is an antifibrinolytic agent that helps stop or slow down the breakdown of blood clots.

Pain relief, especially for menstrual cramps (dysmenorrhea)

Reducing heavy menstrual bleeding

Mefenamic acid reduces pain and inflammation by inhibiting the production of prostaglandins, which are chemicals that cause pain and swelling. Tranexamic acid prevents the breakdown of blood clots by inhibiting the activity of plasmin, an enzyme that dissolves blood clots.

Store the medication in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and moisture. Keep it out of reach of children and pets.

Always take this medication exactly as your doctor has told you. Check the label on the medicine for the correct dose and how often to take it.

It is usually taken with food to reduce stomach upset.

Do not crush or chew the tablets. Swallow them whole with a glass of water.

Stomach upset (nausea, vomiting, heartburn)

Alcohol Consumption

Avoid consuming alcohol while taking this medication, as it can increase the risk of stomach bleeding.



While Driving or operating Machinery

This medication can cause dizziness or drowsiness. Avoid driving or operating machinery until you know how it affects you.



Pregnant & Breastfeeding Women

This medication is not recommended for pregnant or breastfeeding women unless the potential benefits outweigh the risks. Consult your doctor before taking this medication.



Children

This medication is not recommended for children under 12 years old.



Kidney

This medication can affect kidney function. It may need to be used with caution in people with kidney problems.



Liver

This medication can affect liver function. It may need to be used with caution in people with liver problems.
