Zedott 30 Dt Tab (Racecadotril) is a peripheral enkephalinase inhibitor. It selectively inhibits neutral endopeptidase (NEP), an enzyme that breaks down enkephalins, which are endogenous peptides that reduce intestinal motility and secretion. By inhibiting NEP, racecadotril prolongs the action of enkephalins, thus reducing intestinal transit time and decreasing stool frequency and the volume of watery stools.

Store at room temperature (below 25°C). Protect from light and moisture. Keep out of reach of children.

Dosage and administration vary depending on age and severity of symptoms; always follow the doctor's instructions.

Adults and children above 8 years: Typically, one capsule or sachet twice daily.

Pregnant & Breastfeeding Women

Kidney

Patients with impaired kidney function should use caution and may require dose adjustment as per their doctor's advice.
