Fluoxetine

A selective serotonin reuptake inhibitor (ssri) antidepressant.

Olanzapine

An atypical antipsychotic medication.

Treatment of major depressive disorder (MDD) in patients who have not responded adequately to other treatments.

Treatment of bipolar disorder (manicdepressive illness) to prevent and treat manic episodes.

Fluoxetine increases the levels of serotonin in the brain, a neurotransmitter involved in mood regulation. Olanzapine blocks dopamine and serotonin receptors in the brain, reducing symptoms of psychosis and mania.

Store at room temperature, away from light and moisture. Keep out of reach of children.

Dosage and frequency will be determined by your doctor based on your individual needs.

It is typically taken once daily, with or without food.

Do not abruptly stop taking this medication without consulting your doctor.

Serious side effects: seizures, serotonin syndrome (a potentially life-threatening condition), suicidal thoughts, metabolic syndrome.

Common side effects: weight gain, drowsiness, dry mouth, dizziness, constipation, nausea.

Alcohol Consumption

Avoid alcohol consumption as it can increase the risk of side effects.



While Driving or operating Machinery

May cause drowsiness, avoid driving or operating machinery until you know how this medication affects you.



Pregnant & Breastfeeding Women

Discuss with your doctor the risks and benefits of taking this medication during pregnancy and breastfeeding.



Children

Not recommended for children, consult your doctor for appropriate treatment options.



Kidney

Dosage adjustments may be necessary for patients with kidney disease.



Liver
