Xylometazoline

Xylometazoline hydrochloride is the active ingredient in many nasal decongestant products. It belongs to a class of drugs known as alpha-adrenergic agonists.Specific formulations may contain additional ingredients like preservatives, buffers, and tonicity agents. Temporary relief of nasal congestion associated with the common cold, hay fever (allergic rhinitis), and other upper respiratory allergies.

May also be used to relieve congestion before or after nasal surgery.

Xyleer Nasal Drops Drops 10ml (Xylometazoline) works by constricting blood vessels in the nasal passages. This reduces swelling and inflammation, thereby relieving nasal congestion. It acts directly on alpha-adrenergic receptors in the nasal mucosa.

Store at room temperature, away from direct sunlight and moisture. Keep out of reach of children. Discard any unused medication after the expiration date.

Do not exceed the recommended dose or duration of use.

For nasal sprays, administer the prescribed number of sprays into each nostril.

For nasal drops, administer the prescribed number of drops into each nostril.

Gently blow your nose before using the medication.

Sneezing.

Headache.

Alcohol Consumption

The interaction between xylometazoline and alcohol is generally considered minimal, but excessive alcohol consumption may exacerbate any side effects.



While Driving or operating Machinery

Xylometazoline is generally not expected to impair driving or operating machinery, but drowsiness or dizziness is possible in rare cases. Exercise caution.



Pregnant & Breastfeeding Women

Consult your doctor before using xylometazoline if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. The safety of xylometazoline during pregnancy and breastfeeding has not been fully established.



Children

Follow the recommended dosage for children carefully. Use caution and consult a pediatrician.



Kidney & Liver
