This combination medication works synergistically. Ambroxol and guaifenesin act as expectorants, thinning and facilitating the removal of mucus. Menthol offers a soothing effect on irritated airways. Terbutaline, a bronchodilator, widens the airways to improve breathing, especially beneficial when bronchospasm accompanies mucus build-up.
