Povidone-iodine's antimicrobial action is primarily due to iodine. Iodine disrupts the function of microbial proteins and nucleic acids, leading to cell death. The slow release from povidone ensures prolonged antimicrobial activity.
Store at room temperature (below 30°C). Protect from light and moisture. Keep out of reach of children. Do not use if the solution is discolored or contains particulate matter.
