Modafinil is the active ingredient in the medication.It is a wakefulness-promoting agent that belongs to the eugeroic class of drugs.

Wellmod 100mg Tab (Modafinil) works by increasing the levels of dopamine and norepinephrine in the brain. These neurotransmitters play a role in regulating alertness, attention, and wakefulness. It is thought to enhance the activity of certain brain regions responsible for these functions.

Store modafinil at room temperature, between 15°C and 30°C (59°F and 86°F). Keep it in a dry place and away from direct sunlight and heat. Keep it out of reach of children and pets.

Dosage is individualized based on the patient's condition and response to treatment.

It is typically taken orally with or without food.

The usual starting dose for shift work sleep disorder is 100 mg to 200 mg once daily, taken 1-2 hours before the start of the work shift.

For narcolepsy, the dose is usually 200 mg once daily, taken in the morning.

Adjustments in dosage may be made as needed based on the patient's response.

It is important to take modafinil as prescribed by your doctor.

Pregnant & Breastfeeding Women

Modafinil should not be taken during pregnancy unless the potential benefits outweigh the risks. It is unknown if modafinil passes into breast milk, so breastfeeding is not recommended while taking this medication.



Children

Modafinil is not approved for use in children.



Kidney

Caution is advised in patients with kidney problems, as the medication may accumulate in the body and increase the risk of side effects.



Liver

Caution is advised in patients with liver problems, as modafinil is metabolized by the liver.
