A medication that belongs to a class of drugs called biguanides. it helps control blood sugar levels by improving the body's response to insulin.
A medication that belongs to a class of drugs called alpha-glucosidase inhibitors. it works by slowing down the breakdown of carbohydrates in the intestines, which helps to reduce the rise in blood sugar levels after meals.
Type 2 diabetes mellitus: Metformin + Voglibose is commonly used in combination to improve blood sugar control in adults with type 2 diabetes.
Prevention of type 2 diabetes: This combination may also be used in individuals at high risk of developing type 2 diabetes.
Voglitor Mf Forte 0.3mg Tab (Metformin + Voglibose) work synergistically to lower blood sugar levels. Metformin increases insulin sensitivity and reduces hepatic glucose production, while Voglibose delays carbohydrate absorption from the gut.
Store Metformin + Voglibose at room temperature, away from moisture and direct sunlight. Keep it out of reach of children.
The dosage of Metformin + Voglibose is individualized and should be determined by a healthcare professional.
It is typically taken with meals, usually three times daily.
Start with a low dose and gradually increase it as tolerated.
Lactic acidosis (rare but serious): A buildup of lactic acid in the blood, particularly in individuals with kidney disease.
Hypoglycemia (low blood sugar) if taken with other diabetes medications
