Metformin reduces hepatic glucose production and enhances insulin sensitivity. Voglibose inhibits alpha-glucosidases in the small intestine, delaying carbohydrate absorption and reducing postprandial (after-meal) glucose spikes. The combination provides a synergistic effect on blood glucose control.
