An alpha-glucosidase inhibitor that slows down the breakdown of carbohydrates in the gut, leading to a slower rise in blood glucose levels after meals.
A meglitinide insulin secretagogue that stimulates the pancreas to release more insulin in response to rising blood glucose levels.
A biguanide that improves insulin sensitivity, decreases hepatic glucose production, and increases glucose uptake by peripheral tissues.
Type 2 diabetes mellitus (when diet and exercise alone are insufficient to control blood glucose levels).
This combination medication works through three distinct mechanisms to manage blood sugar levels. Voglibose delays carbohydrate digestion, preventing rapid spikes in blood glucose. Repaglinide stimulates the pancreas to release insulin when blood glucose is elevated. Metformin enhances insulin sensitivity, reduces glucose production by the liver, and improves glucose uptake by the body's tissues.
Store in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and moisture. Keep out of reach of children. Discard any unused medication after the expiry date.

Take the medication with or after meals to minimize gastrointestinal side effects.
Hypoglycemia (low blood sugar): Symptoms include dizziness, sweating, shakiness, and confusion.
Lactic acidosis (rare but serious): characterized by fatigue, muscle pain, shortness of breath, and abdominal pain. Seek immediate medical attention if suspected.
Gastrointestinal disturbances: Nausea, diarrhea, vomiting, abdominal pain, and flatulence.

Alcohol consumption may increase the risk of hypoglycemia and should be limited or avoided.
Patients experiencing hypoglycemia should avoid driving or operating machinery.
