Lamivudine

Serious Side Effects (Rare): Liver problems, kidney problems, lactic acidosis (a buildup of lactic acid in the blood), immune reconstitution inflammatory syndrome (IRIS), mental health changes, hypersensitivity reactions.

Common Side Effects: Nausea, diarrhea, headache, fatigue, dizziness.

Alcohol Consumption

Excessive alcohol consumption can interact with this medication and may worsen some side effects. Moderate alcohol consumption is generally considered safe.



While Driving or operating Machinery

This medication can cause dizziness and fatigue. Exercise caution when driving or operating machinery until you know how this medication affects you.



Pregnant & Breastfeeding Women

This medication can harm a developing baby and is not recommended for use during pregnancy. It is also not recommended for use during breastfeeding. Discuss your situation with your doctor to determine the safest options.



Children

Kidney
