Desloratadine

An antihistamine that blocks the effects of histamine, a chemical in the body that triggers allergy symptoms.

Montelukast

A leukotriene receptor antagonist that blocks the effects of leukotrienes, chemicals that cause inflammation in the airways.

Relief of symptoms of seasonal allergic rhinitis (hay fever) such as sneezing, runny nose, itchy nose, watery eyes, and itchy eyes.

Relief of symptoms of perennial allergic rhinitis (yearround allergies) such as sneezing, runny nose, itchy nose, watery eyes, and itchy eyes.

Prevention of exerciseinduced bronchospasm (EIB) in adults and children 15 years of age and older.

This combination medication works by blocking the effects of histamine and leukotrienes, which are chemicals that trigger allergy and asthma symptoms.

Store at room temperature, between 15°C and 30°C (59°F and 86°F). Protect from light and moisture. Keep out of reach of children.

Adults and children 12 years of age and older: One tablet once daily.

Children 6 to 11 years of age: One chewable tablet once daily.

Take this medication with or without food.

Do not crush or chew the tablets unless they are chewable tablets.

If you miss a dose, take it as soon as you remember. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and continue your regular schedule.

Alcohol Consumption

Avoid alcohol consumption while taking this medication as it can increase the risk of drowsiness.

Avoid driving or operating machinery until you know how this medication affects you as it can cause drowsiness.



Pregnant & Breastfeeding Women

This medication should only be used during pregnancy if the potential benefit outweighs the potential risk to the fetus. Consult your doctor about the use of this medication while breastfeeding.



Children

This medication is not recommended for children under 6 years of age.



Kidney

This medication should be used with caution in patients with kidney disease. Dosage adjustments may be necessary.



Liver

This medication should be used with caution in patients with liver disease. Dosage adjustments may be necessary.
