Dutasteride

Is the active ingredient in the medication.

Treatment of benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH), also known as enlarged prostate.

Treatment of male pattern hair loss (androgenetic alopecia).

Veltride Tab (Dutasteride) is a 5-alpha reductase inhibitor. It blocks the conversion of testosterone to dihydrotestosterone (DHT), a hormone that contributes to the growth of the prostate gland and hair loss.

Store at room temperature, between 15°C and 30°C (59°F and 86°F). Protect from light and moisture.

Dosage and frequency depend on the specific condition being treated. It is important to follow your doctor's instructions carefully.

Dutasteride is usually taken once daily, with or without food.

Alcohol Consumption

While no specific interactions with alcohol are known, excessive alcohol consumption can worsen some side effects of dutasteride.



While Driving or operating Machinery

Dutasteride is unlikely to affect your ability to drive or operate machinery. However, if you experience side effects such as dizziness or drowsiness, avoid driving or operating machinery.



Pregnant & Breastfeeding Women

Dutasteride is not for use in women. It can cause birth defects in a male fetus. Women who are pregnant or may become pregnant should avoid handling dutasteride tablets.



Children

Dutasteride is not approved for use in children.



Kidney

Dutasteride is not usually recommended for people with severe kidney problems.



Liver

Dutasteride is not usually recommended for people with severe liver problems.
