Treatment of anxiety disorders, including generalized anxiety disorder (GAD) and panic disorder.
Treatment of acute agitation and psychosis associated with schizophrenia and other psychotic disorders.
Management of nausea and vomiting, especially when associated with anxiety or stress.
Chlordiazepoxide is a benzodiazepine that works by enhancing the effects of GABA, a neurotransmitter that has calming and relaxing effects. Trifluoperazine is an antipsychotic that blocks dopamine receptors in the brain, reducing the symptoms of psychosis and agitation.
Store at room temperature, away from light and moisture. Keep out of reach of children and pets.
Dosage should be individualized based on the patient's condition and response.
Start with the lowest effective dose and gradually increase as needed.
Take the medication as directed by your doctor.
Do not stop taking the medication abruptly without consulting your doctor.
If you miss a dose, take it as soon as you remember, unless it is almost time for your next dose. Do not take a double dose to make up for a missed dose.
Extrapyramidal symptoms (EPS), such as muscle spasms, restlessness, and involuntary movements

Constipation
Blurred vision
Muscle stiffness
Tremors
Weight gain
Avoid alcohol consumption as it can increase the risk of drowsiness and other side effects.
Avoid driving or operating machinery until you know how this medication affects you.
This medication may harm an unborn baby. Discuss the risks and benefits with your doctor before taking it during pregnancy. This medication may pass into breast milk and could harm a breastfeeding infant.
This medication is not approved for use in children.
Patients with kidney problems may need a lower dose.
Patients with liver problems may need a lower dose.
