Sulfate is the active ingredient in amikacin drug formulations. it is an aminoglycoside antibiotic.
Treatment of serious infections caused by susceptible gramnegative bacteria.
Treatment of infections caused by susceptible strains of Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Enterobacteriaceae (e.g., Escherichia coli, Klebsiella pneumoniae, Enterobacter species), and other gramnegative organisms.
Treatment of serious infections when other antibiotics are ineffective or contraindicated.
Varnika 100mg Injection (Amikacin) inhibits bacterial protein synthesis by binding to the 30S ribosomal subunit, causing misreading of mRNA and preventing the formation of functional proteins, ultimately leading to bacterial cell death.
Store amikacin at room temperature, protected from light and moisture. Do not freeze. Discard any unused portion after the expiration date.
