Ceftazidime inhibits bacterial cell wall synthesis, leading to bacterial cell death. Tazobactam inhibits beta-lactamases, enzymes produced by bacteria that can inactivate ceftazidime, thus extending its effectiveness against a wider range of bacteria.
Store at controlled room temperature (20°C to 25°C); excursions permitted to 15°C to 30°C. Protect from light and moisture. Discard any unused portion after the expiry date.

It is usually administered intravenously (IV) or intramuscularly (IM).
Do not stop taking the medication early, even if you feel better. Complete the entire course of treatment.
