Sacubitril

A neprilysin inhibitor, which prevents the breakdown of natriuretic peptides.

Valsartan

An angiotensin ii receptor blocker (arb), which blocks the effects of angiotensin ii.

Treatment of heart failure with reduced ejection fraction (HFrEF) in adult patients.

Sacubitril inhibits neprilysin, an enzyme that breaks down natriuretic peptides (like BNP and ANP), which help to lower blood pressure and reduce strain on the heart. Valsartan blocks the action of angiotensin II, a hormone that raises blood pressure and increases cardiac workload. The combination leads to improved heart function and reduced mortality risk in patients with HFrEF.

Store below 30°C (86°F). Protect from moisture. Keep out of reach of children.

Dosage should be determined by a physician.

Typically started at a low dose and gradually increased.

Should be taken once daily, usually with water.

Do not take more than the prescribed dose.

Missed dose: Do not take a double dose to make up for a missed one. Take the next scheduled dose as directed.

May cause dizziness; avoid operating machinery if affected.

Should not be used during pregnancy. Consult your doctor about breastfeeding.

Requires careful monitoring in patients with kidney disease. Dosage adjustment may be necessary.
