Evogliptin

A type of medication called a dipeptidyl peptidase-4 (dpp-4) inhibitor. it works by helping your body produce more insulin, a hormone that helps control blood sugar levels.

Metformin

Belongs to a class of drugs known as biguanides. it helps lower blood sugar levels in several ways, including improving the way your body uses insulin and decreasing the amount of glucose your liver produces.

Type 2 diabetes mellitus: Evogliptin + Metformin is used to improve blood sugar control in adults with type 2 diabetes.

May be used in combination with other diabetes medications, such as insulin.

Valera M 500 Tab (Evogliptin + Metformin) work in different ways to lower blood sugar levels. Evogliptin slows down the breakdown of incretin hormones, which helps your pancreas release more insulin when your blood sugar is high. Metformin helps your body use insulin more effectively and also reduces the amount of glucose produced by your liver.

Store Evogliptin + Metformin at room temperature, between 15°C and 30°C (59°F and 86°F), in a dry place, protected from light and moisture. Keep this medication out of reach of children and pets. Do not flush medications down the toilet or pour them into a drain unless instructed to do so.

The dosage of Evogliptin + Metformin will be determined by your doctor based on your individual needs and response to treatment.

It is usually taken once daily with a meal.

Follow your doctor's instructions carefully.

Do not stop taking this medication without talking to your doctor.

Serious side effects are rare but can include: lactic acidosis (a dangerous buildup of lactic acid in the blood), vitamin B12 deficiency, and severe allergic reactions.

Common side effects may include: nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, stomach upset, low blood sugar (hypoglycemia), upper respiratory tract infection, headache, and fatigue.

Alcohol Consumption

Avoid excessive alcohol consumption as it can increase the risk of lactic acidosis.



While Driving or operating Machinery

Be cautious while driving or operating machinery as this medication may cause dizziness or drowsiness.



Pregnant & Breastfeeding Women

Evogliptin + Metformin is not recommended during pregnancy or breastfeeding. Consult your doctor for advice.



Children

This medication is not recommended for children.



Kidney

This medication may be harmful to your kidneys, especially if you have kidney problems. Your doctor will monitor your kidney function during treatment.
