Ramipril

An ace inhibitor (angiotensin-converting enzyme inhibitor) that helps relax blood vessels.

Valsartan

An angiotensin ii receptor blocker (arb) that also helps relax blood vessels and lower blood pressure.

Treatment of hypertension (high blood pressure)

Reduction of cardiovascular risk in patients with high risk of cardiovascular events (e.g., postmyocardial infarction)

Ramipril inhibits the ACE enzyme, preventing the formation of angiotensin II, a powerful vasoconstrictor. Valsartan blocks the action of angiotensin II by binding to its receptors, preventing vasoconstriction. This combined action leads to vasodilation (widening of blood vessels), reduced blood pressure, and reduced cardiac workload.

Store in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and moisture. Keep out of reach of children. Discard any unused medication after the expiry date.

Dosage should be determined by a physician based on individual patient needs and response.

The medication is typically taken once daily, with or without food.

Do not suddenly stop taking this medication; gradual tapering is required under physician supervision.

Alcohol Consumption

Alcohol may increase the risk of hypotension. Limit or avoid alcohol consumption while taking this medication.



While Driving or operating Machinery

May cause dizziness or lightheadedness. Avoid driving or operating machinery until you know how this medication affects you.



Pregnant & Breastfeeding Women

Not recommended during pregnancy or breastfeeding. Consult your doctor immediately if you become pregnant or plan to breastfeed.



Children

Use in children is not typically recommended unless specifically prescribed by a physician.



Kidney

Caution is advised in patients with kidney disease. Dosage adjustments may be necessary.



Liver

Caution is advised in patients with liver disease. Dosage adjustments may be necessary.
