Alfuzosin

Alfuzosin is the active ingredient in the medication.It belongs to a class of drugs called alpha-blockers.

Treatment of benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH), also known as enlarged prostate.

Relief of symptoms associated with BPH, such as difficulty urinating, weak urine stream, and frequent urination, especially at night.

Urofuz 10mg Tablet (Alfuzosin) works by relaxing the muscles in the prostate and bladder neck, making it easier to urinate. It does this by blocking the action of a chemical called norepinephrine, which causes the muscles to contract.

Store alfuzosin at room temperature, away from light and moisture. Keep it out of reach of children and pets.

The dosage of alfuzosin will be determined by your doctor based on your individual needs.

It is typically taken once daily, usually in the evening.

It should be taken with a glass of water.

Do not crush or chew the tablets.

Common side effects include dizziness, headache, fatigue, and nasal congestion.

Alcohol Consumption

Avoid or limit alcohol consumption while taking alfuzosin, as it can increase the risk of dizziness and lightheadedness.



While Driving or Operating Machinery

Alfuzosin can cause dizziness and lightheadedness. Avoid driving or operating machinery until you know how alfuzosin affects you.



Pregnant & Breastfeeding Women

Alfuzosin is not recommended for use during pregnancy or breastfeeding. Consult your doctor for advice.



Children

Alfuzosin is not approved for use in children.



Kidney

If you have kidney problems, your doctor may adjust your dose of alfuzosin.



Liver

If you have liver problems, you may be at increased risk for side effects from alfuzosin.
