A type of medication known as an alpha-blocker, which works by relaxing muscles in the prostate and bladder neck.
A 5-alpha reductase inhibitor, which prevents the conversion of testosterone into dihydrotestosterone (dht). dht plays a role in prostate growth.
Treatment of symptoms of benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH), also known as an enlarged prostate.
May be used alone or in combination with other medications.
Alfuzosin relaxes the muscles in the prostate and bladder neck, making it easier to urinate. Dutasteride reduces the production of DHT, which helps to shrink the prostate and relieve symptoms of BPH.
Store at room temperature, away from heat and moisture. Keep out of reach of children.
The usual starting dose is one tablet taken once daily.
Your doctor may adjust your dose based on your individual needs and response to treatment.
Take this medication with or without food.
Do not crush or chew the tablets.
