Alpha-Beta Arteether

Alpha-Beta Arteether is a combination drug containing artemether and lumefantrine.Artemether is an artemisinin derivative, a fast-acting antimalarial drug.Lumefantrine is a lipophilic antimalarial drug belonging to the aryl-amino alcohol class.

Treatment of uncomplicated Plasmodium falciparum malaria in adults and children weighing more than 5 kg.

Artemether rapidly kills the asexual blood stages of the Plasmodium parasite. Lumefantrine, having a longer half-life, provides a residual activity that prevents recrudescence.

Store below 25°C in a dry place, protected from light and moisture. Keep out of the reach of children.

Dosage is weight-based and should be strictly followed as prescribed by a healthcare professional.

The drug is usually taken with food to improve absorption.

Treatment duration is typically three days, requiring multiple doses at specified intervals.

Complete the entire course of medication even if symptoms improve, to prevent recurrence.
