Fexofenadine

An antihistamine that blocks the effects of histamine, a substance released by the body during an allergic reaction.

Montelukast

A leukotriene receptor antagonist that blocks the action of leukotrienes, inflammatory chemicals that contribute to asthma and allergy symptoms.

Treatment of mild to moderate persistent asthma. (Note: This combination may not be sufficient for severe asthma; consult a doctor.)

Relief of symptoms associated with seasonal allergic rhinitis (hay fever), such as sneezing, runny nose, itchy nose/eyes/throat, and itchy skin.

Fexofenadine blocks histamine receptors, preventing histamine from causing allergic symptoms. Montelukast blocks leukotriene receptors, reducing inflammation and bronchoconstriction (narrowing of airways) associated with asthma and allergies.
