Halobetasol Propionate

Salicylic Acid

A keratolytic agent that helps remove dead skin cells and soften the skin, allowing other medications to penetrate more effectively.

Treatment of plaque psoriasis (a common skin condition causing scaly patches)

Treatment of severe seborrheic dermatitis (a skin condition causing scaly patches, particularly on the scalp)

Treatment of other inflammatory skin conditions as directed by a doctor.

Halobetasol propionate works by reducing inflammation and itching by suppressing the immune system. Salicylic acid works by removing dead skin cells and softening the skin, which allows halobetasol propionate to penetrate more effectively. This combination helps to control the symptoms of various inflammatory skin conditions.

Store at room temperature, away from heat and light. Keep out of reach of children.

Apply a thin layer of the cream or ointment to the affected area twice daily, as directed by your doctor.

Do not use more than the recommended amount, as this can increase the risk of side effects.

Avoid contact with the eyes, nose, and mouth. If contact occurs, rinse thoroughly with water.

Use only on the skin. Do not use this medication internally.

Wash your hands after applying the medication, unless you are applying it to your hands.
