Amoxicillin

Is a type of antibiotic that belongs to the penicillin family.

Bacterial infections of the ear, nose, throat, skin, lungs, urinary tract, and other parts of the body.

May be used to treat certain sexually transmitted infections.

Amoxicillin works by stopping the growth of bacteria. Clavulanate acid prevents the breakdown of amoxicillin by certain bacteria, allowing amoxicillin to effectively fight infection.
