Treatment of adults with type 2 diabetes mellitus to improve glycemic control.
May be used in combination with other antidiabetic agents, such as metformin or insulin, if needed.
Dapagliflozin works by blocking the SGLT2 protein in the kidneys, preventing the reabsorption of glucose into the bloodstream and increasing its excretion in the urine. Sitagliptin increases levels of incretin hormones, which stimulate insulin release and suppress glucagon secretion, improving glycemic control.
Store at room temperature, below 30°C (86°F). Protect from moisture.
Dosage should be determined by a healthcare professional based on individual needs and response to therapy.
Typically taken once daily, with or without food.
Urinary tract infections.
Genital fungal infections.
Increased urination and thirst.
Nausea, vomiting, and diarrhea.

Moderate alcohol consumption should be discussed with your doctor; excessive alcohol may increase the risk of hypoglycemia.

Caution is advised in patients with moderate to severe kidney disease.
