This triple combination medication works through three distinct pathways to lower blood glucose levels. Dapagliflozin increases glucose excretion through the kidneys. Glimepiride enhances insulin secretion from the pancreas. Metformin improves insulin sensitivity and decreases hepatic glucose production. The combined effect leads to better glycemic control than any single agent alone.
