About Trofil Tab
This medication contains guaifenesin, diethylcarbamazine, and chlorpheniramine maleate. It is typically prescribed for the symptomatic relief of coughs and for the treatment of filariasis. Guaifenesin works by thinning mucus, diethylcarbamazine kills or prevents the growth of filarial worms, and chlorpheniramine maleate blocks the effects of histamine. The medication is usually taken orally with a full glass of water. Common side effects include drowsiness, dizziness, dry mouth, and upset stomach.
