A thiazide diuretic. it works by helping the body get rid of excess salt and water. this can help to lower blood pressure.
Treatment of high blood pressure (hypertension) in adults when other medications have not been effective.
May be used alone or in combination with other medications to lower blood pressure.
This medication works by combining the actions of three different types of blood pressure-lowering medications: an angiotensin II receptor blocker (ARB), a calcium channel blocker, and a thiazide diuretic. This combination helps to lower blood pressure by relaxing blood vessels, decreasing fluid retention, and reducing the workload on the heart.
Store this medication at room temperature, away from moisture and heat. Keep it in its original container with the lid tightly closed. Do not keep it in the bathroom, as it can get damp. Keep it out of reach of children and pets.
The dosage of this medication will be determined by your doctor based on your individual needs and response to treatment.
It is typically taken once a day with or without food. The tablets should be swallowed whole with water.
Do not crush, break, or chew the tablets.
More serious side effects, although rare, can include: low blood pressure, kidney problems, and allergic reactions.
Common side effects include: headache, dizziness, tiredness, cough, swelling in the ankles or feet, constipation, and diarrhea.
Drinking alcohol while taking this medication may increase the risk of low blood pressure. Avoid excessive alcohol consumption.
This medication may cause dizziness or drowsiness. Avoid driving or operating machinery until you know how it affects you.
This medication should not be used during pregnancy. It may harm an unborn baby. If you are pregnant or may become pregnant, talk to your doctor immediately. This medication may pass into breast milk. If you are breastfeeding, talk to your doctor about the risks and benefits.
This medication is not typically used in children. It may not be safe for children.
If you have kidney problems, your doctor may need to adjust your dosage or monitor you more closely.
