Moclobemide

Is the active ingredient in this medication.

Treatment of major depressive disorder (MDD) in adults.

May be used as an alternative for patients who do not respond well to other antidepressants.

Trima 150mg Tab (Moclobemide) is a reversible inhibitor of monoamine oxidase type A (MAO-A). It increases levels of neurotransmitters such as serotonin, norepinephrine, and dopamine in the brain by preventing their breakdown.

Store at room temperature, away from light and moisture. Keep out of reach of children.

Dosage and frequency of administration should be determined by your doctor.

The usual starting dose is 300 mg per day, taken in divided doses.

Dry mouth

Nausea

Dizziness

Insomnia

Headache

Anxiety

Agitation

Sexual dysfunction

Alcohol Consumption

Avoid consuming alcohol while taking moclobemide. It can increase the risk of side effects.



While Driving or Operating Machinery

Moclobemide can cause dizziness or drowsiness. Avoid driving or operating machinery until you know how it affects you.



Pregnant & Breastfeeding Women

Moclobemide is not recommended for use during pregnancy or breastfeeding.



Children

The safety and efficacy of moclobemide in children have not been established.



Kidney

Use with caution in patients with kidney disease.



Liver

Use with caution in patients with liver disease.
