A sulfonylurea drug that stimulates the pancreas to release more insulin.
A biguanide that improves insulin sensitivity and reduces glucose production by the liver.
A thiazolidinedione (tzd) that improves insulin sensitivity by acting on cells' insulin receptors.
Type 2 diabetes mellitus in adults when diet and exercise alone are not enough to control blood sugar levels.
Specifically used in patients who require a combination therapy to effectively manage their hyperglycemia.
This triple combination drug works synergistically to lower blood glucose levels. Glimepiride increases insulin secretion, metformin reduces hepatic glucose production and improves insulin sensitivity, and pioglitazone enhances insulin sensitivity at the cellular level. This combined action leads to better glycemic control than using any of these medications individually.
Store at room temperature (below 30°C), protect from moisture and light. Keep out of reach of children.

Hypoglycemia (low blood sugar): Symptoms include sweating, dizziness, weakness, confusion, and rapid heartbeat.
Gastrointestinal upset (nausea, vomiting, diarrhea).
Weight gain.
Fluid retention (edema).
Liver damage (rare but serious).
Bladder infections.
Increased risk of fractures.
Heart failure (especially with Pioglitazone).
Alcohol can increase the risk of hypoglycemia. Limit or avoid alcohol consumption while taking this medication.
Hypoglycemia can impair judgment and coordination. Avoid driving or operating machinery if you experience hypoglycemic symptoms.
Generally not recommended during pregnancy and breastfeeding. Discuss risks and benefits with your doctor.
Not indicated for use in children.
Renal impairment may necessitate dosage adjustment or alternative treatment. Close monitoring is required.
Liver function tests should be monitored regularly, particularly with Pioglitazone. This medication should be used cautiously in patients with liver disease.
