Trazalon 25mg Tab (Trazodone) is primarily a serotonin antagonist and reuptake inhibitor (SARI). It works by blocking serotonin receptors (primarily 5-HT2A) and inhibiting the reuptake of serotonin. This complex mechanism contributes to its antidepressant and sedative effects. The exact mechanism by which it improves sleep is not fully understood but is likely related to its serotonin modulation and sedative properties.
Store at room temperature, away from moisture and direct sunlight. Keep out of reach of children. Discard any unused medication after the expiration date.
Dosage is determined by your doctor and depends on your individual needs and response to the medication.
It's usually taken orally, once or twice daily, before bed for insomnia or as directed by your physician for depression.
