Insulin glargine is a long-acting insulin used to control blood sugar in people with type 1 and type 2 diabetes. It is injected once daily under the skin. Common side effects include low blood sugar and injection site reactions. Always follow your doctor's instructions carefully and monitor your blood sugar regularly. If you experience any side effects, contact your doctor immediately.
Ingredients of Toujeo Solostar 300u/Ml Pen

Insulin glargine is a long-acting man-made form of human insulin.

Direction for Use of Toujeo Solostar 300u/Ml Pen

Treatment of adults and children with type 1 diabetes mellitus

Treatment of adults with type 2 diabetes mellitus when other medications, such as metformin, are not enough to control blood sugar

How Toujeo Solostar 300u/Ml Pen Works

Insulin glargine lowers blood glucose levels by binding to insulin receptors on cells, facilitating glucose uptake and utilization, and inhibiting glucose production by the liver. Its long-acting nature provides a relatively consistent blood glucose-lowering effect over 24 hours.

Storage and Handling of Toujeo Solostar 300u/Ml Pen

Store in a refrigerator (2°C to 8°C). Do not freeze. Once removed from refrigeration, it can be stored at room temperature (up to 25°C) for up to 28 days. Protect from light. Discard after 28 days at room temperature, even if some medication remains. Always keep insulin out of reach of children and pets. Do not shake the pen or vial.

Dosage of Toujeo Solostar 300u/Ml Pen

The dose of insulin glargine is individualized and determined by your doctor based on your blood glucose levels and other factors.

It is typically administered once daily at the same time each day, usually in the evening.

Insulin glargine is injected subcutaneously (under the skin) using a pre-filled pen or syringe.

Do not inject insulin glargine intravenously (into a vein) or intramuscularly (into a muscle).
