Terbinafine

Is the active ingredient in many antifungal medications.

Treatment of fungal infections of the skin (tinea pedis, tinea cruris, tinea corporis, and tinea manuum).

Treatment of fungal infections of the nails (onychomycosis).

Treatment of cutaneous candidiasis.

Torabest Cream 15gm (Terbinafine) inhibits squalene epoxidase, an enzyme essential for fungal sterol biosynthesis. This disruption of sterol production leads to fungal cell death.

Store at room temperature, away from moisture and direct sunlight. Keep out of reach of children.

Dosage and duration of treatment vary depending on the type and severity of the infection and the form of the medication (cream, tablet, etc.).

Do not stop taking the medication prematurely, even if symptoms improve.

Alcohol Consumption

While Driving or operating Machinery

Terbinafine may cause dizziness or drowsiness in some individuals. Avoid driving or operating machinery if you experience these side effects.



Pregnant & Breastfeeding Women

Terbinafine should only be used during pregnancy or breastfeeding if the benefits outweigh the potential risks. Consult your doctor before taking terbinafine if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.



Children

Dosage and use of terbinafine in children should be determined by a doctor.



Kidney

Terbinafine is primarily metabolized in the liver, and renal impairment usually does not affect the pharmacokinetics. However, patients with severe renal impairment should be monitored closely.



Liver

Terbinafine is metabolized by the liver. Patients with liver disease should be monitored closely for liver enzyme elevations. Discontinue use if elevated liver enzymes are detected.
