A potent corticosteroid that reduces inflammation and itching.
An antifungal agent that kills various fungi, including dermatophytes (cause of ringworm and athlete's foot) and yeasts (like candida).
An antibiotic that is effective against a wide range of bacteria.
Treatment of inflammatory dermatoses complicated by secondary bacterial and/or fungal infection.
Severe inflammatory skin conditions with associated bacterial and/or fungal infection such as eczema, psoriasis, and seborrheic dermatitis.
Clobetasol propionate suppresses the inflammatory response in the skin. Clotrimazole disrupts the fungal cell membrane, leading to fungal cell death. Neomycin inhibits bacterial protein synthesis, resulting in bacterial cell death. The combination addresses the inflammatory, fungal, and bacterial components of the skin condition.
Store at room temperature, away from direct sunlight and moisture. Keep out of reach of children.
Apply a thin layer to the affected area twice daily.
Do not use on large areas of skin or apply under occlusive dressings without consulting a physician.
The duration of treatment should be determined by the physician and depends on the severity of the condition and patient response.
Burning or stinging sensation at the application site.
Skin thinning (atrophy).
Stretch marks (striae).
Skin discoloration.
Increased risk of skin infections.
Allergic reactions (rash, itching, swelling).
No specific interaction with alcohol is documented, but excessive alcohol consumption can negatively impact overall health and skin condition.
Generally, this medication does not impair alertness, but caution is advised if side effects such as dizziness or visual disturbances occur.
Consult a doctor before use during pregnancy or breastfeeding. The benefits must outweigh the potential risks to the fetus or infant.
Use only as directed by a physician. Children are more susceptible to systemic absorption and side effects.
Caution is advised in patients with kidney disease. Renal excretion of neomycin might be impaired.
Caution is advised in patients with liver disease. Metabolism of the corticosteroids could be altered.
