Tofisopam

Tofisopam is the active ingredient in the medication.It belongs to a class of drugs called benzodiazepines.

Tofisopam is used to treat anxiety disorders.

It can also be used for shortterm relief of insomnia (difficulty sleeping).

Toficalm 50mg Tab (Tofisopam) works by enhancing the effects of a neurotransmitter called GABA in the brain. GABA is an inhibitory neurotransmitter, meaning it slows down brain activity. By enhancing GABA's effects, Tofisopam helps to reduce anxiety and promote relaxation.

Store Tofisopam at room temperature, away from light and moisture.

While Driving or operating Machinery

Tofisopam can cause drowsiness and impair your ability to drive or operate machinery. Do not drive or operate machinery until you know how Tofisopam affects you.



Pregnant & Breastfeeding Women

Tofisopam can harm an unborn baby. It is not recommended for use during pregnancy. If you are pregnant or plan to become pregnant, talk to your doctor about the risks and benefits of taking Tofisopam. Tofisopam passes into breast milk and may harm a breastfeeding baby. Talk to your doctor about the risks and benefits of breastfeeding while taking Tofisopam.



Children

Tofisopam is not recommended for use in children.



Kidney

Tofisopam may be removed from the body more slowly in people with kidney problems. Your doctor may need to adjust your dose.



Liver

Tofisopam may be removed from the body more slowly in people with liver problems. Your doctor may need to adjust your dose.
