A potassium-sparing diuretic that blocks the action of aldosterone, a hormone that causes the kidneys to retain sodium and water.
A loop diuretic that increases the excretion of sodium, water, chloride, and potassium from the kidneys.
Treatment of edema (swelling) associated with congestive heart failure.
Treatment of edema associated with cirrhosis of the liver.
Treatment of edema associated with nephrotic syndrome.
Treatment of hypertension (high blood pressure), often in combination with other antihypertensive medications.
Tide Plus 20mg Tab (Spironolactone + Torasemide) work synergistically to promote diuresis (increased urine production). Torasemide inhibits sodium and chloride reabsorption in the loop of Henle, while spironolactone blocks aldosterone's effect in the distal tubule, resulting in increased sodium and water excretion. The combination often leads to better fluid removal than either drug alone, while minimizing potassium loss associated with loop diuretics.
Store at room temperature, away from moisture and direct sunlight. Keep out of reach of children. Discard any unused medication after the expiration date.

The combined formulation is generally not available; spironolactone and torasemide are often prescribed separately and taken concurrently.
