Thyroxine Sodium

Is the synthetic form of the thyroid hormone thyroxine (t4).

Hypothyroidism (underactive thyroid): To replace missing or insufficient thyroid hormone.

Goiter (enlarged thyroid gland): In some cases, to manage goiter size and function.

Myxedema coma: A severe form of hypothyroidism, requiring immediate medical attention and high-dose treatment.

Following thyroid surgery or radioactive iodine treatment: To supplement thyroid function.

Thyroxine Sodium Tablets Ip 100 Mcg (Thyroxine Sodium) acts as a replacement for the thyroid hormone thyroxine (T4). Once in the body, T4 is converted to triiodothyronine (T3), the active form of the hormone, which then regulates metabolism, growth, and development.

Store at room temperature (below 25°C) away from direct sunlight and moisture. Keep out of reach of children.

Dosage is determined by your doctor based on individual needs and regular monitoring of thyroid function via blood tests.

Dosage should be taken once daily, usually on an empty stomach, at least 30 minutes before breakfast.

Do not stop or change the dosage without consulting your doctor.

Always swallow the tablet whole with water; do not crush or chew.
