Etofylline

A bronchodilator related to theophylline, but with a potentially faster onset and shorter duration of action.

Both etofylline and theophylline inhibit phosphodiesterase, leading to increased intracellular cAMP levels. This results in relaxation of bronchial smooth muscle, thus widening the airways and improving airflow. Etofylline's faster onset may be due to its more rapid metabolism and distribution compared to theophylline.

Store at room temperature, away from direct sunlight and moisture. Keep out of reach of children. Discard any unused medication after the expiration date.

Children

Kidney
