Artesunate

An antimalarial drug that works by killing the parasite that causes malaria.

Pyrimethamine

An antimalarial drug that works by inhibiting the growth of the malaria parasite.

Sulfadoxine

An antimalarial drug that works by inhibiting the growth of the malaria parasite.

Treatment of uncomplicated Plasmodium falciparum malaria in adults and children.

Prophylaxis (prevention) of malaria in travelers to areas where malaria is endemic.

Treatment of chloroquineresistant malaria.

Artesunate, pyrimethamine, and sulfadoxine are all antimalarial drugs that work by different mechanisms to inhibit the growth and development of the malaria parasite within the human body.

Store at room temperature, between 15°C and 30°C (59°F and 86°F), in a dry place, protected from light. Keep out of reach of children.

Dosage is determined by the patient's weight, age, and the severity of the infection.

This medication is usually taken as a single dose, but may be taken over several days depending on the severity of the infection.

Always follow your doctor's instructions for dosage and administration.

It is important to take the entire course of medication as prescribed, even if you feel better, to prevent the parasite from becoming resistant to the medication.

Driving or operating Machinery

This medication may cause dizziness, drowsiness, or blurred vision. Do not drive or operate machinery until you know how this medication affects you.



Pregnant & Breastfeeding Women

This medication is not recommended for pregnant or breastfeeding women. Talk to your doctor about the risks and benefits of taking this medication if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.



Children

This medication should only be used in children under the guidance of a doctor.



Kidney

Use with caution in patients with kidney disease.



Liver

Use with caution in patients with liver disease.
