Atenolol reduces the heart's workload by slowing the heart rate and reducing the force of contractions. Chlorthalidone lowers blood pressure by increasing the excretion of sodium and water from the body, thus reducing blood volume.
Store at room temperature, away from moisture and direct sunlight. Keep out of reach of children.
Dosage should be determined by a physician based on individual needs and response.
The medication is typically taken once daily, usually in the morning.
