Chlorthalidone

A thiazide diuretic that helps your body get rid of excess salt and water.

Metoprolol

A beta-blocker that slows down your heart rate and relaxes your blood vessels.

Telmisartan

An angiotensin ii receptor blocker (arb) that helps relax blood vessels and lower blood pressure.

Treatment of hypertension (high blood pressure)

May be used in patients who have not achieved adequate blood pressure control with a single agent

This combination medication works synergistically. Chlorthalidone increases urine output, reducing blood volume. Metoprolol reduces heart rate and contractility. Telmisartan blocks the action of angiotensin II, a hormone that narrows blood vessels. The combined effect leads to a significant reduction in blood pressure.

Store at room temperature, away from moisture and direct sunlight. Keep out of reach of children.

Dosage should be determined by your physician based on your individual health condition and response to treatment.

Do not abruptly stop taking this medication without consulting your doctor.

Take the medication as directed, with or without food, usually once daily.

Alcohol Consumption

Alcohol may exacerbate the side effects of this medication, particularly dizziness and lightheadedness. Limit alcohol consumption.



While Driving or operating Machinery

Avoid driving or operating machinery until you know how this medication affects you, as dizziness and lightheadedness are possible side effects.



Pregnant & Breastfeeding Women

This medication is generally not recommended during pregnancy or breastfeeding. Consult your doctor immediately if you become pregnant or plan to breastfeed.



Children

This medication is not typically prescribed for children. Consult your doctor.



Kidney

Caution is advised in patients with kidney disease. Your doctor may adjust the dosage.



Liver
