Telmisartan: An angiotensin II receptor blocker (ARB) that helps relax blood vessels.

Amlodipine: A calcium channel blocker that also helps relax blood vessels and lower blood pressure.

Treatment of hypertension (high blood pressure)

Reduction of cardiovascular risk in patients with hypertension and other risk factors such as diabetes or a history of heart attack

Telmisartan blocks the action of angiotensin II, a hormone that narrows blood vessels. Amlodipine relaxes blood vessels by preventing calcium from entering the cells of blood vessel walls. This combined action lowers blood pressure and reduces the workload on the heart.

Store in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and moisture. Keep out of reach of children. Do not use after the expiry date.

Dosage should be determined by a physician based on individual needs and response to treatment.

Usually taken once daily, with or without food.

Do not crush, chew or break the tablet. Swallow whole with water.

Alcohol Consumption

Alcohol may increase the risk of dizziness and low blood pressure. Limit alcohol intake while taking this medication.



While Driving or operating Machinery

May cause dizziness or drowsiness. Avoid driving or operating machinery until you know how this medication affects you.



Pregnant & Breastfeeding Women

Not recommended during pregnancy or breastfeeding. Consult your doctor immediately if you become pregnant or are planning to become pregnant while taking this medication.



Children

Safety and effectiveness in children have not been established.



Kidney

Caution is advised in patients with impaired kidney function. Dosage adjustments may be necessary.



Liver

Caution is advised in patients with impaired liver function. Dosage adjustments may be necessary.
