Cilnidipine

A calcium channel blocker that relaxes blood vessels, lowering blood pressure.

Metoprolol Succinate

A beta-blocker that slows down the heart rate and reduces the force of heart contractions, lowering blood pressure.

Telmisartan

An angiotensin ii receptor blocker (arb) that blocks the action of a hormone that narrows blood vessels, lowering blood pressure.

High blood pressure (hypertension), often when other medications have not been effective alone.

May be used to reduce the risk of stroke in patients with high blood pressure and other risk factors.

May be used in combination with other medications for heart failure.

This combination medication works by lowering blood pressure through three different mechanisms:

Store at room temperature, away from moisture and direct sunlight. Keep out of reach of children and pets. Do not flush unused medication down the toilet or pour it into a drain.

Dosage is individualized and should be determined by your doctor.

This medication is usually taken once a day, with or without food.

Do not stop taking this medication without talking to your doctor, even if you feel better.

Take missed doses as soon as you remember, unless it's almost time for your next dose. Do not double the dose.

Follow your doctor's instructions carefully.

Less common side effects include cough, swelling in the feet or ankles, and difficulty sleeping.

Serious side effects, though rare, can occur. Contact your doctor immediately if you experience any of the following:

Common side effects include dizziness, headache, fatigue, and nausea.

Chest pain

Shortness of breath

Swelling of the face, lips, tongue, or throat

Difficulty swallowing

Fast or irregular heartbeat

Severe dizziness or lightheadedness

Severe muscle weakness

Rash, hives, or itching

Yellowing of the skin or eyes

Alcohol Consumption

Alcohol can increase the risk of side effects, especially dizziness and lightheadedness. Avoid or limit alcohol consumption while taking this medication.



While Driving or Operating Machinery

This medication can cause dizziness and drowsiness. Avoid driving or operating machinery until you know how this medication affects you.



Pregnant & Breastfeeding Women

This medication is not recommended for use during pregnancy. Discuss with your doctor about potential risks and benefits. It is not recommended during breastfeeding, as it may pass into breast milk. Discuss alternatives with your doctor.



Children

This medication is not approved for use in children.



Kidney

This medication may need to be adjusted if you have kidney problems. Discuss with your doctor.



Liver

This medication may need to be adjusted if you have liver problems. Discuss with your doctor.
